Abstract:
An empirical expression was obtained for the effect of the screen motion variables on the passage of particles through a perforation, independently of the screening duration effect. This expression is based on the screen acceleration as the major parameter, with adjustment to screen amplitude, and it was not affected by screen inclination or the linkage angle. The results are discussed and explained with the aid of analysis of particles motion and a movie camera study of particles behavior on the screen.
