Abstract:
WITH several plant virus diseases, an infection, after becoming generalized, often results in apparent recovery of the plants, followed by an acquired immunity from reinfection1. The term, acquired immunity, has further been applied to the interference between virus strains in cross-protection tests. © 1960 Nature Publishing Group.
