Flowering male plants of Leucadendron discolor E. Phillips, S. Hutch were produced in 3-5 months by rooting large branched cuttings with initiated flowers. The data on which cuttings were taken critically affected further development of the capitulum. Taking cuttings after the end of November resulted in most of the apices developing into flower heads, whereas, cuttings taken earlier failed to develop. This technique allows rapid production of flowering pot-plants of L. discolor. © 1986.
