Experiments were conducted to develop a method for continuous separation of agricultural products by their density in a fluidized bed. Tests with a prototype, using sand as a medium, showed that efficient separation of clods from potatoes and flower bulbs could be obtained at satisfactory rates. The process does not involve high velocities and is, therefore, suitable for easily damaged vegetables and fruits.
