Abstract:
1. 1. The optimum reaction for cellulase, invertase, amylase and protease obtained from Ewytoma amygdali larvae has been determined. 2. 2. In larvae at a stage of transition from diapause to pupation, the activity of cellulase was about fivefold that of invertase and amylase. 3. 3. During pupal and adult development, cellulase activity decreased gradually to almost nil in the adult stage. Invertase, on the other hand, increased with time: in a 3-day-old adult it was about twentyfold that in the young pupa. © 1974.
