Abstract:
The poor light environment in Chinese lean-to greenhouses during winter has brought up a critical challenge and limited the growth of greenhouse crops in many cases. Installing reflective materials inside greenhouse seemed one of the promising methods to improve greenhouse light environment. In this paper, it was reviewed that the types and features of reflective materials, designing and setting of reflective screen/board in greenhouse, application effects on some microclimate factors (including light, temperature and humidity) and horticultural crops (including tomato, cucumber and egg plant) inside greenhouse, and its economic evaluation. Based on that, the future research work was suggested in this field.
