Abstract:
An extraction method was developed to examine if enzymatic reaction of carbonic anhydrase in pecan (Carya illinoensis (Wang.) K Koch) leaves can replace the ordinary mineral detection tests. By comparing the extracted carbonic anhydrase activity from pecan leaves with lack of zinc and with recommended zinc level, the differences can be easily observed and used for detection of zinc deficiency. © 1983 Martinus Nijhoff/Dr W.
