Abstract:
Seed dormancy was found in the Mexican sesame cultivar Cola de Borrego but it disappeared about 6 months after harvest. Dormancy was completely broken by soaking the seeds in GA3 solutions of 100 and 500 ppm for 48 h; soaking in 1000 ppm GA3 concentration was helpful but not as good as the 100 and 500 ppm treatments. GA3 treatments also hastened emergence. © 1979, Cambridge University Press. All rights reserved.
