Abstract:
Gazella dorcas was studied in the southern Negev Desert of Israel. Its desert habitat partitioning is determined by the availability of preferred food, and by shelter from intense solar radiation, both of which are provided by acacias and their associated flora. By selecting these habitats, gazelles obtain optimum cost/benefit ratios.-from Author
