Abstract:
An experiment was conducted in a greenhouse to study the relationship between evapotranspiration of banana plants (ET) and climatic factors. Reference evaportranspiration (ET0) inside the greenhouse was calculated using five popular methods. Water evaporation (E) inside the greenhouse was also measured using a 20 cm diameter pan. Results showed that, the determination coefficient (R2) of 0.94 between ET and E was higher than that between ET and ET0 computed using the five methods, which ranged from 0.47 to 0.60. E was linearly related to ET and recommended to estimated crop ET inside a greenhouse.
