Abstract:
An aqueous neem Azadirachta indica seed kernel extract was sprayed at different concentrations on sweet corn seedlings. The fresh residues were allowed to dry and assayed against larvae of Sesamia nonagrioides. No pupation occurred with 1 and 0.5% neem extract, and only 10% of larvae pupated at 0.1%. Larval weight was significantly lower on 1- and 3-day-old residues than on untreated plants, with only 10% pupation occurring. -from Authors
