Abstract:
Preliminary studies were made to explore the potential of a method based on foam-encapsulating the fruit prior to harvesting. The results indicate significant reduction in bruise damage and it is conceivable that with appropriate refinement, a feasible method could be developed for a possible solution of the bruise damage problem.
