Abstract:
Abnormal skin conditions in crops grown in Israel are described. Their incidence could neither be correlated with similar conditions in the seed nor with the use of imported or locally grown seed. Varietal differences in liability to develop such defects were established. The defects are considered to be due to environmental conditions, particularly moisture relations. © 1963 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
