Abstract:
The interaction with smectite clays of high surface concentrations of the pesticides parathion and methyl parathion is reported. The type of condensation found can be described by the BET isotherm. The existence of surface-condensed phases and the manipulation of their properties can be applied to slow-release formulations for such pesticides. -D.F.B.
