Abstract:
As more commercial farms use automatic irrigation devices, irrigation controlled by electrotensiometers may be of practical importance. The success of such a system depends upon (except for overcoming technical difficulties) identifying the optimal soil water potential and distance and depth of electrotensiometers relative to the water outlet. The results of research to determine the response of cotton to automatic drip irrigation controlled by electrotensiometers carried out in 1984 is reported.
