Abstract:
Propagation of sweetpotatoes is largely by vegetative propagation, which plays a major role in sweetpotato agriculture, improvement, conservation and diversity. Several topics involving propagation will be covered, including in situ germplasm conservation, virus cleaning by tissue culture, mass propagation by tissue culture, germplasm conservation by tissue culture, and the use of tissue culture for the international transport of sweetpotato germplasm. © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2009.
