Abstract:
The water balance equation I equals ET equals WS plus D was used to calculate evapotranspiration, ET, for production functions of processing tomatoes. This approach was used in an experiment where the effect of drip irrigation with saline water was studied in the arid Ramat HaNegev region of Israel. As a result of these practices plants irrigated with high salinity water, which had lower ET, received smaller amounts of water than plants irrigated with low salinity water.
