Abstract:
Tree growth was studied for 12 yr following thinning of five different intensities applied to a 12-yr-old Pinus brutia forest in Lower Galilee, Israel. Light thinning treatment (removal of 15% of standing volume) permitted forest growth to recover more vigorously than with drastic treatments (removals of 50% and 40% of standing volume). -from Authors
