An AC (alternating current) generator and a multi‐electrode probe (MEP) were used for field measurement of bulk‐soil electrical conductivity (ECa). The MEP enabled unlimited, repeated, fast measurements of ECa at a certain spot. The MEP was operated by a portable, inexpensive, sine‐wave AC generator for obtaining ECa values based on the four‐electrode method.
