Producing biopesticides with enhanced insecticidal capabilities that have minimal negative effects on crops and unintended creatures is becoming more and more necessary for the protection of crops and other plant species. Synthetic pesticides have been the mainstay of pest management plans, but their extensive usage has led to the emergence of insect species that are resistant to them. In light of this, using natural pesticides as a substitute for synthetic ones has been practiced in both the agricultural and public health sectors. To create efficient biohazard-free pesticides, it is necessary to carefully examine plant species for the presence of insecticides and assess how they behave. We attempt to highlight and enlighten the plant species with a great diversity of secondary metabolites in this chapter. More research is needed to uncover additional sources of these botanical pesticides, although the identified plant species can be used as a source for biotechnological methods that will increase output.
