Abstract:
In the 1960s a sudden and dramatic change occurred in the agriculture of the Arab farming sector in Israel. Modern management practices and mechanization have been introduced, and this technological transformation has been accompanied by change in the nature and quality of village life. The authors consider the main factors involved in this process, and the applicability of their findings to other situations in developing countries. -J-Clayton
