Abstract:
The irrigation water in the semi-arid and arid regions is gradually becoming more saline. The prediction of water use, salinity hazard and root activity under partial wetting by drip is therefore essential for efficient water management. The results of the soil water content, salinity and root distribution and evapotranspiration measurements obtained in a mature grapefruit orchard are presented.
