Abstract:
Few biopesticides are currently used commercially as alternatives to chemical pesticides. Part of the problem is that methods of application of biological agents have not been adequately considered. This paper reviews current information on the application of biopesticides and concludes that more research and development is needed to develop effective application technologies so that those biopesticides showing promise, under laboratory conditions, can be applied by farmers. © 2003 Silsoe Research Institute.
