Abstract:
DELTRA is a natural language translation system. The three main features of this software are the Analysis, Transfer, and the Generation components. Among the three components, the analysis and the transfer systems are used vigorously. The analysis component analyzes the natural language input sentences and maps them onto a formal language while the transfer function performs the translation of the source to the target language. DELTRA software is fully independent of the actual language to be processed. Thus it is easy to make a distinction between software and linguistic data. Similarly, the modular approach of the software makes it easy to process a specific language.
