Abstract:
A procedure was developed for activity staining of peroxidase and β-1,3- glucanase isozymes (a double staining procedure) in the same polyacrylamide gels using 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazol for peroxidase staining and laminarine and 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride for glucanase staining. The procedure was used to detect peroxidase and β-1,3-glucanase in different corn lines using plant leaf extract.
