Abstract:
Growth response and herbicide accumulation were studied following exposure of cucumber plants to 1.75x10-7 M metolachlor. Leaf and root fresh weight was severely inhibited after three weeks after which almost full recovery was observed. High concentrations of metolachlor, ranging between 0.76 to 11.33 μg/g fr. wt, could be found in the leaves. Although fruit weight was not reduced, herbicide accumulation was also found in the fruits (3.76 μg/g fr. wt). © 1991, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
