Abstract:
This study was conducted to investigate the performance of the two-dimensional shaker as utilized in harvesting system where 'Florida MH-1' plants were precut to allow wilting. Specific objectives were: to determine the detachment forces at several angles relative to the natural stem axis, to determine the nature of the shaker motion trajectory, and to determine the influence of modes, frequencies, and amplitudes combinations on fruit detachment.
