Abstract:
Discussion, theoretical examples and experimental data are presented to support the hypothesis that within the accepted normal range of operating parameters for milking machines, ″moderation″ of pulsation rate, pulsation ratio and vacuum level can be applied to the teat without decreasing milking performance in terms of yield, milking time, and average flow rate. These relationships are evaluated from milk accumulation curves. Refs.
