Electrical conductivity was measured during the oestrous cycle of cows with electrodes implanted in the vaginal wall. Conductivity was considerably higher during oestrus than during the preceding or following cycle stage. Conductivity was also high in the fresh surgical wound, whereas the healing process was accompanied by a decrease. © 1978, British Society of Animal Science. All rights reserved.
