Abstract:
Graft is one of the popular methods to resist soil spread disease as well as other disease, and to improve fruit quality. Four rootstocks Chiqie, Nianmaoqie, Beinongqiezhen and Tuolubamu, which bear resistance to some disease, were used in this experiment to verify whether top graft can improve the quality of tomato growing in solar greenhouse. 80 days after grafting, the fruit ripen; the effect of rootstocks on the quality of tomato was evaluated. The results were as followed: for the grafted tomato, the highest fruit vitamin C content among all the graft treatments was observed in Beinongqiezhen grafted tomato, which was higher than that of the self-rooted tomato, followed by Chiqie and Nianmaoqie grafted tomato, the lowest vitamin C content was observed in Tuolubamu grafted tomato, which was lower than that of self-rooted tomato. As for the titratable acid content, the highest ked content was observed in Chiqie grafted tomato, Tuolubamu and Beinongqiezhen grafted tomato ranked the second and the third, there was no difference in titratable acid content among Nianmaoqie grafted tomato and self-rooted tomato. All the rootstocks decreased the soluble sugars content in grafted tomato fruit. Soluble sugars content in Tuolubamu grafted tomato decreased the less than other rootstocks, the lowest soluble sugars was observed in Chiqie grafted tomato. All the four rootstocks decreased the protein content in grafted tomato fruit, protein content in Beinongqiezhen grafted tomato fruit was the highest among all the grafted tomato. The effects of rootstocks on the fruit quality were complicated; more details need to be researched.
