Abstract:

Immature hyaline teliospores were formed within 12 to 14 days after the hyphomycetous fungus Aphanocladium album was added to axenic cultures of Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici (race 126-ANZ-6, 7) which had lost the ability to form teliospores, whereas none were produced in control cultures without A. album. The teliospores were mature by the twentieth day.
