Abstract:

Seven species of Russulales are recorded as new for Israel and the near East. Two species are undescribed: Macowanites galileensis sp.nov., related to M. krjukowensis (Buchholtz) Sing. & Smith, and Russula carmelensis sp.nov., related to R. gigasperma Romagn. Five of the seven species belong to Russula, one to Lactarius and one to Macowanites. Descriptions are given for all taxa, to show differences resulting from the dry climate.
