The Asian lady beetle, Harmonia axyridis (Pallas), is native to Asia and was introduced to many locations for biocontrol thanks to its voracious nature. H. axyridis was identified in multiple different locations, indicating a high level of invasiveness, and was shown to compete with local species. Here we report the first molecular identification of H. axyridis in Israel.
